On November 4, when you go to the polls, you will have an important decision to make about the future of public safety in Delaware. When it comes to representing you for Governor, the choice is clear: Jack Markell will fight to keep dangerous weapons out of the hands of dangerous people.

Currently serving as Delaware's State Treasurer, Markell has called for improvements to the state's process of ensuring that people who are prohibited from purchasing firearms, including those adjudicated as mentally ill, are identified in the state's database that is used to run Brady background checks on gun purchases.

Jack Markell will fight for common sense gun laws to reduce gun violence in America. Markell has a public safety plan that recognizes the need for common sense initiatives and he's pledged to help seek federal funding to let Delaware cities use cutting-edge gunshot detection technology to fight crime.
