E-mail Your U.S. Representative Today: Help us reach 100 Cosponsors to Close the Gun Show Loophole.

Dear Friend,

Help us reach our goal of 100 cosponsors on H.R. 2324, our priority legislation to close the gun show loophole, by Martin Luther King’s Birthday, January 18.

In most states, anyone can walk into a gun show and buy guns — like AK-47s — from unlicensed sellers without a Brady criminal background check. That makes no sense. H.R. 2324 would require Brady criminal background checks on all gun show sales.

Our lead bill sponsors in Congress, Representatives Mike Castle (R-DE) and Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY), are counting on you to help us reach this first important goal of 100 cosponsors.

The gun lobby will fight us every step of the way with its mantra "any gun, anywhere, for anybody." So we can't do this without you. Brady and Million Mom March Chapters will be working with you and our state allies to reach the 100-cosponsor goal by January 18.

Your Representative needs to hear from you today. And you can help even more — click here to forward this e-mail to your friends.

Everyone's help is needed to make our communities safer. Our national policy should be: "No background check, no gun, no excuses."

Thank you for your ongoing support!
