Why should you join the Coalition?

• Because nearly 30,000 Americans are killed by guns every year.
• Because the unrelenting toll of gun violence in America erodes the economic, physical, and spiritual well-being of all our citizens.
• Because gun violence is an affront to the Divine vision of a peaceable kingdom.
• Because the suicide rate for children 0-14 years old is TWICE as high in the U.S. than in 25 other industrialized countries combined. There is no difference in the non-firearm suicide rate between the U.S. and the 25 other countries. Virtually all the difference is attributable to suicides being committed with guns in the U.S.[1]
• BECAUSE we are losing eight children a day to gun related deaths!
